The Aspidistra Eliator is a large 60 cm cast iron plant known for its deep green leaves and its ability to tolerate low light and drought. It adds a touch of elegance to any room in the home!  And it's really an easy plant, a plant that requires little care.

Care tips

Watering

Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, ensuring that the top inch of soil is dry before watering again. Avoid overwatering as this can cause root rot.

Light

Thrives in low to medium light. Place in indirect or filtered light, away from direct sunlight. Can tolerate dimly lit areas, making it suitable for offices and rooms with little light.

Temperature

Prefers temperatures between 13-24°C. Can tolerate cooler temperatures down to 7°C. Avoid extremes of temperature and keep out of draughts. Does well in average room humidity.

The first generation of the Ammerlaan family grew cucumbers. Since the 1980s, the company has switched to tropical green plants, most of which come from Central America. In this way, the company grew to a size of 6.5 hectares of greenhouses, where many thousands of plants are grown each year with great care and skill. Currently, the first of the third generation of Ammerlaans is working in the company.
